Jesus, I don’t deserve it but, please forgive me!

“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,” Titus 2:11-13

What is God’s Grace? It is “unmerited favor”, it is UNEARNED!
We must constantly remind ourselves that humanity is not deserving of salvation. No one can “earn” pardon by works of human merit. If such were the case, we could boast regarding our redemption; however, that is impossible (“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9).

In Romans 3:22-24, it is written, “This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”

Get the picture? God’s grace, His gift of salvation to any who want it, is undeserved, unmerited, unearned!

Through the ages, salvation was works. Doing to get, acts of reconciliation to show ourselves approved to God. The Law was death to all who “tried” to follow it!
God, therefore sent His Son to pay the price, the bill, the debt…
So that our account is reconciled with God! All we have to do is go to the “bank” and make that deposit of Faith! Of Belief! Of Surrender!
“All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:18-20

Prayer Challenge: If you don’t know that you have eternal salvation through Jesus Christ, ask Him now for that by committing your heart to Him. Ask Him to forgive the sinful life you lived, and come and dwell within you.
If you DO know that you have eternal salvation. Recommit your life to Him DAILY! “Take up your cross DAILY and follow Him”
Prayer is ESSENTIAL in a Christ followers life! There is no other way!! Love you guys!
