Unity in the Community


Years ago, God gave me the vision that “Revival” of the Church will start in Alliance Ohio.  From MY question to God, “Why have you brought me here???”

I was born and raised in Columbus Ohio, and shortly after graduation from High School, I joined the United States Navy.  I served for 8 years. My career was cut short because my disabled father had implored me to get out so that I could carry on the family furniture business. The business was in Alliance Ohio.  So, I was obedient and was honorably discharged in 1990.  So, with my (then) wife and 3 girls, we traveled to Alliance Ohio. I’ve heard folks say “Nothing good comes out of Alliance!” Nothing good happened to me here until 2008.  My first wife left me with the 3 girls, then as I was starting my life over, she came back to get them.  Shortly after she left, I lost my place in the family business because my dad and step mother couldn’t see eye to eye, so she bought him out, gave me a severance and I said good bye to any chance of having a legacy… (at least with that…)  I then lost my house, no job, so I had to move in with my neighbor (who’s boyfriend ironically took off with my wife at the time)

To fill in the blanks, I D.J.’d for awhile where I met my SECOND wife.  Things were good at first, and then she got pregnant with my FOURTH daughter, and adopted her son.  She too desired not to be with me.

As I tried to pick up the pieces AGAIN, I lost the factory job I had held for ELEVEN years! So, here I am again, homeless….again.  No job, no wife, my older kids were out of state, and I wasn’t allowed to see my daughter for a long time…

As time went on, I met who is NOW my THIRD wife.  This was God. 
I got saved in 1982, but “fell off the boat” for 25 years….ALL THE WHILE…God through His Holy Spirit kept calling me back…
Long story short (at least I’m trying to make it short)I married my third wife (My Soul-mate, God chosen), and we moved in together (not necessarily in that order)
  As she was going to church, I too started going back to church, gradually declining in my drinking, we finally came to a place where God told us to open up a Christian bookstore in 2009…  And THAT is where I got the vision.  God wanted me, anyone, SOMEONE to see His vision for His children and orchestrate a ministry that would be the hub for ALL the churches in Alliance to band together, igniting the spark that would create the flame, for the FIRE of the Revival of the Church….  THE WHOLE CHURCH!!

I know, I know….sounds “Twilight Zoney”; Sounds made up….

I felt I was crazy, up until about a year ago when we hooked up with a street ministry that was focused on the same thing… we “dropped the ball” somewhere along the line, and I feel that someone saw the vision as well and picked up the mantle.

That ministry has been strong in bringing unity to the churches in
Alliance….then last night, 6 to 8 churches got together for a unity night! 2 pastors preached at a church that wasn’t theirs. 
Wednesday, 2 more pastors preaching at a different church. 
Thursday and Friday, more of the same.  Christ Followers from all over are attending each night of worship and to hear the word…
The common theme: UNITY.

Why such a big deal?  It’s a big deal because we are all “One Body, One Spirit, One Faith, One Baptism!”

Jesus prayed this prayer in John 17, verses 20-23: “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;  that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:  I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.”

Paul IMPLORED the Corinthians in 1 Corinthians 1:10, “Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Paul said it again in Ephesians 4:4-6, “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Below is an excerpt of a sermon that Max Lucado wrote in 2012 at a “Promise Keepers Convention”:

“God has enlisted us in his navy and placed us on his ship. The boat has one purpose—to carry us safely to the other shore.

This is no cruise ship; it’s a battleship. We aren’t called to a life of leisure; we are called to a life of service. Each of us has a different task. Some, concerned with those who are drowning, are snatching people from the water. Others are occupied with the enemy, so they man the cannons of prayer and worship. Still others devote themselves to the crew, feeding and training the crew members.

Though different, we are the same. Each can tell of a personal
encounter with the captain, for each has received a personal call. He found us among the shanties of the seaport and invited us to follow him. Our faith was born at the sight of his fondness, and so we went.”

I wish I could put it ALL here, but I think I wrote too much… 🙂
The gist is that to run a “tight ship” we must ALL be looking at “The Captain” for guidance, and follow HIS lead… inso doing, there is UNITY because we are all FOCUSED ON THE SAME THING!!

Today’s “Christ Followers” are known by the world of what they are against…not WHAT or WHO they are for… 
The world sees “The Church” as an ancient religion, all washed up.  How much LESS do they see Jesus??

Why are we not being the “Light of the World”?  Why are we not going “out into the world making disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit??

Why are we so involved in our “Country Clubs” our “Social Clubs” that we don’t see the LOST out there? 
If the CHURCH were unified..(like we are in Alliance this week)  Wouldn’t you think the WORLD would see Jesus in a more

If God chose me years ago with this vision, and obviously others in the past several years…. how many more are there out there???  Let’s get to it!!

Do they know you by your love?


The pic you see at the beginning of this blog post is a door that separates our living room from the dining room.  Around the holidays, it sports Christmas cards from friends and loved ones.  As we took down the decorations, my 19 year old daughter felt that this space was kinda bare!  So she went to work on this project that took her all of a couple of days.

This from my offspring who, also struggles with depression, introvertedness (if that’s a word lol), and a myriad of other struggles most of us have.

Here’s the thing though: she is anti-social, doesn’t like hugs, saying “I love you” first, and on the surface, she appears to be callous and unfeeling.  For whatever reason, this is who my daughter is, and behavior that we have grown to accept.  We have always challenged her, since she is a Christian, to bear more fruit.  She doesn’t put herself out there, volunteer for anything….serve.

But, she is a young woman I respect and love because of her uncanny ability to have a sense of humor where it is hard to have one, she doesn’t worry about what is going on or fret over life’s decisions.  She is an outside of the box thinker, very much like Jesus wants us to be.  The ways of the world don’t bother her, and she doesn’t think mainstream society.  I am only mentioning my daughter and this thing she created, because it reminds me DAILY that people are watching me.  The “seeds” of the fruit of the spirit are a constant reminder in my face every day as I sit to do Bible study, think, or blog.

We always say that if we are Christ Followers, we should be bearing fruit! Jesus talks extensively about it, and so does Paul. One of his most famous letters is in Galatians 5:19-23

“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”

The meticulous effort of my daughter, putting all the seeds of the fruit of the spirit is, in of itself a fruit.  A beautiful, thoughtful, loving FRUIT.  Put there to remind us of the lives we MUST BE living as Christ Followers!

Are you loving the “unlovable” today? Are you teaching the “unteachable”? Are you serving as Christ served?  Are you patient, loving, kind, joyful, peaceful, GOOD, Faithful, gentle, and are you operating under the self control of the Holy Spirit?

“Should Auld Aquaintance Be Forgot”


Yesterday morning, I woke up to my verse of the day, “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature (creation). Old things are passed away, behold, all things have become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Whether it was on purpose, or a Godsend verse for me,
it was especially poignant today.
The end of a year. The beginning of a new one.

So many times in our lives we rehash things. Argue about the past,
or hold on to bad memories and grudges.

This is not God’s plan for our lives.

Even in the song “Auld Lang Syne”, the title means: “times long past”
We hold on to so much negative in our lives, or hold on to so many
things that we can’t do anything about!

All this does is create dissension in our lives, and ruins our
relationships with people, because we don’t trust wholly, and are therefore cynical towards them and life in general!
In Philippians 3:13-14, Paul puts it eloquently, “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but this one thing I do,
forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
I think those that choose to live without Jesus are at a loss. In more ways than one… But in this context, they are missing out on a joyful, blessed life in Christ. And that those of us who harbor grudges and ill feelings towards people and things in the past, are only making our futures bleak and depressing.

If anyone has a reason to dwell on the past, it would be myself.  I come from a broken home, both parents remarried.
Drugs interwoven throughout my childhood and much of my teenage years.
Sexual and Physical abuse to top it off.
Also on the list:
2 failed marriages, and homelessness.
I have watched friends die, and have had my share of “suffering” at the hands of others.
I have been dealing with depression for as long as I can remember…

Yet, I stay focused on the here and now.

Many of us have had our share of family disputes, marital battles, and kids that don’t talk to us, and vice-versa.  We continue to keep the embers burning for our grudge to the point that not only does it NOT burn out, but it is forever hot.

Why do we hold on to so much negativity in our lives?  Is it that it is so much easier?  Divorced couples still fighting and
in stalemate after years of being separated.  Countries battling against each other for reasons that are long- forgotten..
Even the present-day Hatfield’s and McCoy’s of
West Virginia/Kentucky fame don’t even
know why they were still feuding!

For those that don’t know Jesus, I suppose I can understand, to a point, why most harbor unforgiveness, and grudges, because they don’t know the magnitude of what Jesus did on the cross!

But…to Christians? I really don’t understand.  Hebrews 8 talks about Israelite’s betrayal to God, and how God said, “ For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds, I will remember no more.”

God can forgive a whole nation for inflicting pain on each other,
worshiping idols, and partaking in evil for centuries….
But the Father of the universe says, that He will NOT remember
their sins and lawless deeds ANYmore!

We can take a lesson here! What good does it do to harbor grudges forever?   Isaiah quoted God in Chapter 43, verse 25: “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more”

A beautiful passage in Psalm 103:10-14 says,

“He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor punished us according to our iniquities For as the Heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
As far as the east is from the west,
                     So far has He removed our transgressions from us.

(He remembers them NO MORE!)
As a father pities his children,
So the Lord pities those who fear Him.
For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.”

So, what are Christians doing, walking around in unforgiveness?
One of my favorite verses of all times puts very clearly the
MAGNITUDE of what our Savior did on the cross for us.
1 John 1:9 says, ” If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. “

If Jesus can forgive murders, thieves, liars, adulterers, idolators,
betrayers, child beaters, and rapists…
(most of us don’t fall into ANY of these categories)….THEN WHY on God’s green earth can’t we forgive those who have suffered unto us, the slightest of infractions?

I get it.  Life is bad sometimes.  But living in the PAST?  How is that working for you?  Why, if we had a horrible childhood, would we want to trudge that back up, just to prove that a brother or sister wronged us?

How about the spouse that was caught in infidelity?  That is some pretty wicked stuff!  How could you possibly forgive that person?   Or the person who talked about you behind your back?  Let’s go a step further…what about someone that got a better break than you in life and they’re doing just fine, while you are festering under your breath how your life sucks, and they are doing fantastic?

Yeah, life is unfair…sometimes things don’t go your way.  Maybe you aren’t what you wanted to do when you were planning out your life.  Maybe you are STUCK in your life with “no way out”  Life is just downright depressing.  But, if you’re a Christian, then you have the likes of Job who lost IT ALL!  You have Jesus who did nothing but show love and do miracles have His life here on earth end so
tragically painful and gruesome…could you endure what He did
going to the cross for you?
What about Paul, writer of 1/2 of the New Testament?
He experienced so much pain and torment in his entire life, and died at the hands of many of the same folks that he ran with while
persecuting the church!! (How’s that for backstabbing?)

Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Forget the past, it has nothing for you anymore.  It is done, over with. Stop hanging on to “what might have been”  It didn’t happen for a reason.  Deal with it! God had a better plan than what you could come up with! So, you’re having a rough life?  Ever think that you are miserable because, A: You WANT to be miserable? or
B: your negativity might actually be holding you back?

I am not begrudging anyone to have a pity party once in awhile,
believe me, I still throw a couple of those for myself…but we don’t have to stay at the party! We can CHOOSE to pick up our head, walk straight, and keep focusing on Jesus, because,  HE is “the author and finisher of our faith”  and when we have troubles, we can go to the Father and pray to our hearts content.

If we don’t know any bad, or have any trials or tribulations, then how will we recognize the good when we see it?  Easy. We won’t!! We will take EVERYTHING for granted, and just be whiny spoiled brats who get whatever we want!

Paul put it this way in Romans 5:3-5, “Not only that, but we REJOICE in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does NOT put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us!!

God gave you a story to tell.  Tell the STORY.  Tell HIS story! But, whatever you do, don’t tell the story in a
backwash of negativity…Tell your story with EXCITEMENT,
with GRATEFULNESS, WITH POWER that you NOW HAVE OVER that story.

When I tell my story that God gave me, I don’t cry in remembrance, I don’t look back with melancholy.
When I tell the story of what others did to me,
that GOD allowed these things to HAPPEN to strengthen me.

I don’t speak ill of anyone that ever hurt me,

I don’t CURSE God because He allowed it to happen.

I don’t run around saying “WHY ME??!!!”

I am not the only person on this planet.  Last I checked there were some people (Some very close to us) going through some pretty wicked things right now…

(and as I pray for them…I am reminded of how blessed I am to be where I am at!)

How can I be so PIOUS to think that I am the only one going through anything right now?

This is a new year!  Don’t make this year like all the others…make up your mind that you are going to Keep your eyes focused on Jesus.  Make up your mind that you will pray for anyone that is less fortunate and celebrate with those that have more than you!

Stop portraying yourself as a martyr.  Look at the trial as a lesson, a test, a REASON to LEARN and to draw closer to God!

STOP DWELLING ON THE PAST.  It is done. It is over. There is NOTHING you can do to erase it….


(The day has it’s OWN troubles…)

LIVE FOR TODAY.  Because your life can only be lived NOW.

When we worry about anything, or dwell on anything, or obsess about anything other than the HERE AND THE NOW… We rob ourselves of precious time to make a difference with the gifts God gave us to change the things within our sphere of influence!

Bring the Rain!

b346cc6ae97c7add4c98f14ac030638eI have gone through worse things in my life, and I have had some pretty AWESOME, BETTER TIMES…

But, “there is always someone out there worse off than you”

I use to be so SICK of hearing that! Blah blah blah, I would say! Seriously? I would say… until I had a house fire…. I was like, no one could be worse off than me…

The lady the caused the fire in our duplex had to STRUGGLE…and is probably STILL struggling, she ended up with NOTHING..
Our blood and our church family all banded together and next thing we knew, we had a room to stay in, there were several people that wanted to set us up with an apartment, utilities and deposit paid…
My sister in law actually GAVE us the side of the duplex we live in now, another brother got us a refrigerator and a stove! Others brought food and clothes… Dishes, sweeper, soap (to last a lifetime!), and so many other things…
We lost almost EVERYTHING…but we gained EVERYTHING…
I know people that are sleeping in BUSHES… in railroad cars, and their own cars… (I did too for a time) And I know what it is to be in plenty…and I know what it is to be in NEED… but there IS always someone out there worse off than you!!
Instead of being a “cry baby bed wetter” I decided that we were going to EMBRACE any downfall, any sign of poverty, losing jobs, etc… and we were going to HELP others when we got on our feet again, to NOT be where we went!!
Several years ago, we had the fire, but I had a good job..etc.. got out of the homelessness and here we are in the same house we moved into after the fire. I just recently lost my job and hunting PAINSTAKINGLY to find another one….Credit card bills are racking up, hospital bills, no health insurance for my wife, the daughter who lives with us is unemployed, and my wife works as a nanny, bringing the only working money into the house… but we make it. Parents help, friends, family…but ultimately, I believe that it is our strength in Christ and our faith that has carried us through… so I don’t gripe about where I’m at… I am EMBRACING IT!!
My only desire in life is to be a good father, husband and brother, and friend…
To Walk with Jesus and to inspire people to live better lives despite their circumstances…. There have been so many struggles in our lives, just as there are in YOUR life. There has been death, loss, pain, heartache, betrayal and many other emotions and pains that I can’t even count in my life.
BUT, I don’t want to be a “cry baby bed wetter”
I’m not always strong either, but we ALL have stuff going on, I want to show that no matter what is going on in our lives, we can ALSO reach out to others! “I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For HIS sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in HIM, not having a righteousness of MY OWN that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith—that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings!!!” (That was Philippians 8..)
I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that I’ve gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You
Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It’s never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on you, oh Lord
MY ONLY shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times.

I hope this inspires someone… with that…

Haven’t written in awhile..But God wants to say something!



Feeling extra blessed tonight for some reason…
I’m sitting here wondering how many people that I know….trust God as Creator and Jesus as Savior?

See, here’s the thing…

I lost my house in a fire about 5 years ago. No insurance on the house, with FAITH…everything was replaced 10 FOLD! People came out of the wood work, some we didn’t even KNOW..and helped us replace EVERYTHING! New Stove, Refrigerator…and live in a house that has NO RENT.. (Now we have a hoarder house! lol j/k)
We ran a bookstore for three years on JUST MY income, which at the time was 75% child support taken out…. I brought home roughly 800 a month.
We didn’t make a lot of money (hence closing it) BUT it stayed open for 3 years on JUST MY INCOME and roughly $5,000 a year coming in as revenue (I am not a businessman per se’ but GOD is!)

My car quit working totally, and no money to fix it (after bookstore closed) but some guy GAVE us a newer model car to replace it! (This happened twice!) We were able to junk the car (which was also given to us for what it took to get a SECOND VEHICLE..for Darlene!
Right after the fire, Darlene got an inheritance which was able to fund many family members in some bills, ONE family member got $500!

Both Dar and I have had a few health scares, deaths in the family (normal stuff) Crazy hospital bills and things we don’t even talk about…

I kept on trusting God and continued to try to bless people financially whether we had it or not… AND whether we had the money or not, we gave back to God’s people via “tithe” or offerings..

THEN, I lost my job after ALMOST 10 yrs! I was DEVASTATED! What will I do now???!!!
What I HAVE been doing for years! Trusting God! You read my story, and that’s not even a QUARTER OF IT!

I keep getting people ask me why we get so blessed, like it’s some secret thing we do! We simply…Love God, love EACH OTHER, LOVE OTHERS…Not fret about our own things, but worry more about the things of others…and NOW…. Unemployment is giving me a hard time! I have received my last paycheck…..a whopping $227!!! For three weeks, I haven’t gotten a paycheck! (Some others have helped out, you all know who you are!!) And you think…JUST THREE WEEKS?? So many things have popped up financially that we took for granted…bank loans, credit cards, medical bills, car payments….etc..
Most of us are just ONE paycheck…maybe two away from being homeless.. but God gave us a place where even if there is no electric..we have a place that we never have to worry about paying for!! I didn’t write ANY of this for sympathy…NONE….
I wrote this because MY FAMILY trusts in God in all things! And BECAUSE of that trust…we have the “Peace that surpasses alllll understanding” AND WE are content….even in the roughest storms and waters…
I ask that any reading this…only trusts God as creator…Jesus as Savior and turn it all over to them… I couldn’t ask for a better place to be! I won’t get a paycheck for ANOTHER 2 weeks, but I KNOW THAT MY DADDY IN HEAVEN has our back!!!
God speaks thru Paul and says in Philippians 4:11-13 “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through CHRIST JESUS who gives me strength.”

If you got nothing else out of this…look at your situation (I do) and see others worse off than you are… (I do that too) and in comparison, we can ALL find someone who is worse off than we are!

What GOD has put together…let noone separate!


Lately, I have been realizing more and more how blessed I am to be married to my bride. Not for what she does, what she says, or who she is, but simply someone who God blessed me with to share my life with, to grow in Christ with, to love…

See, marriage has gotten so distorted through time, it has become a convenient act that people do to either get a tax break, or in the heat of the moment, they get married to each other, either from pressure from family, or pressure from each other, and neither one is even ready to be joined at the hip for what marriage takes.

And then, when the fire burns out, the spark is no longer there, the honeymoon is over, the fairytale turned into a nightmare, and they are “no longer happy”, they hire a lawyer and sign a paper of divorcement and start the chaotic cycle all over again!

It’s kind of funny how the origins of marriage and the ceremony can be traced back to Genesis and when Jesus taught His disciples daily. But we wouldn’t even THINK of giving God the credit!
Like why do we get married? Why is it in a church? Why does a Pastor or minister have to do the ritual, and why is God’s name always in the words of pronouncement?
No-one has really ever thought that God ordained marriage, its sacraments, and the groundwork. People don’t even realize that marriage is actually the physical picture of Christ and HIS bride, the Church!
But we all take it for granted, don’t we? These days, when things don’t work out, we just get a divorce and be done with it. We don’t stick it out, try to communicate, comprise with each other.. NO! We simply hire a lawyer, or if we don’t have kids…that’s just so much easier. We just go online and print out a paper!
Marriage has become nothing more than a word for shacking up with someone you have lust for!!

And that’s just with EACH OTHER! What about the mother-in-law that questions the authority of their daughters husband? Or the dad that dips into the couple’s spats, or arguments?

It’s even been my experience that when family gets involved in an already strained marriage, the couple just falls apart, because now, the peer pressure is coming from the parents, or the siblings!! I have had TWO such marriages where the in-laws wouldn’t keep their distance as we tried to work through our problems! Hence, TWO failed marriages, because the exes took the sides of their families and not what God had put together!!

Why do you think God said in Genesis 2:24, “for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” ??

Why did Jesus say it again in Matthew 19:5?

Why did Paul mention it in Ephesians 5:31?

Because God already knew what would happen!! I’d say it was important to note that the only way for a man and a woman to have a successful marriage is to be united unto each other AWAY from family for a time to get grounded in GOD and in each other!!!

Mark 10:9 says, “Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
This has been a staple in many a marriage ceremony. But, they are also the words of Jesus! So many of our marriage traditions can be traced back to Genesis and the days of Jesus!

Jesus spoke at length in Matthew 19:1-12 about marriage and divorce. And several other places in the Bible! I can think of SEVEN places in Proverbs ALONE off the top of my head!

Paul gave a nice little addendum in Ephesians 5 about how husbands and wives should treat each other…most assuredly with inspiration from Jesus!

So you see, God takes this seriously!! It isn’t bad enough that marriage is a challenge… 2 people from totally different backgrounds, joining together, being one flesh…and then try to think the same, eat the same, share the same… and then, lets throw family in the mix, then kids, then finances… you got a big all chaotic mix there and unless that couple had some real quality type pre-marital counseling, they’re in for the ride of their lives!

Couples back in the early days, they didn’t have their families to rely on… they only had each other. That’s why you see folks in their 80’s and 90’s married for 50 plus years! Because they knew marriage was something to be WORKED at! The rewards for a quality marriage are phenomenal, but we have a generation coming up that just doesn’t get it, and so marriage is as disposable as kitty litter and diapers!!

God forbid, a family member get involved in a marriage covenant! Read Mark 10:9 again…. “Therefore what God has joined together, LET NO ONE SEPARATE.”

In other words… you’re in big trouble with GOD if you decide you want to screw with a marriage! See, my first two marriages were outside of the blessings of God, but I knew God’s heart and did everything I could to make them work!! Why? Because, somewhere in my heart, I KNEW God was happy with good foundation in marriage covenants, and I wasn’t one to disappoint! But what about the wives that found the pressure of family more overwhelming than the covenant she made to her husband? It doesn’t look too hot for her either!!

Ephesians 5:22-33, Paul went all out to show the importance of a marriage covenant that should never be broken, and related it to THE CHURCH, THE BRIDE OF CHRIST!

With my bride now (and forever), we have decided to make GOD the center of our marriage…do we argue? Sure! Do we disagree? Absolutely! Do we still revere each other in the eyes of God? MOST ASSUREDLY! But God is the center, and we have a SOLID MARRIAGE FOUNDED ON THE ROCK OF JESUS!

So, the next time you think you want to screw with a marriage, or bring distain on your name, or the name of God… THINK AGAIN! God sees marriage as important!
And if you’re a Christian? You should ALWAYS be mindful that WE are the bride of Christ, just as an earthly wife is the bride of her husband. And they are COMPARED WITH EACH OTHER!
We are to REVERE God’s institution of marriage between a man and a woman, simply because GOD revere’s the marriage between a man and a woman, His HEART as well as the BRIDE of Christ.

I pray that whoever reads this will find something that they have been missing, to see what God intends in marriage, and if you are married, that you’ll look at the scripture quoted, study for yourself, and look at your spouse a totally different way!!

Let’s have a “Gay Old Time” Part III of III

As I conclude here, with Part III, if you believe in Christ and you’re still seeking men (being a man) for a relationship, then you need to relook your walk with Jesus and figure out what’s important…
We know that the Bible is God’s word (at least those that follow Christ and believe on Him)
Let’s finish this up: Paul said in Romans 12:1 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God–this is your true and proper worship.” Is any of this behavior honoring God? Are we honoring God with our bodies? Homosexuality, pedophilia, necromania, and beastiality, are any of these honoring God with our bodies?
If you think any of these is okay, I’m praying for ya. If you’re a homosexual, murderer, pedophile, thief, or liar and you don’t know Jesus, then I’m praying for you as well… and I love ya. I love ya, because you are valuable possessions in God’s eyes and He wants to change your hearts so that He can love on you even more and show you all the blessings that He is able to supply.
So, what IS “Holy Behavior” Mike? Well, I’ll tell ya, Holy behavior is: “God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit. ” (1 Thessalonians 4:3-8)

The other passage I wanted to point out is in 1 Corinthians 6:7-20 ”
The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated? Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers and sisters. Or do you not know that wrongdoers WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything. You say, “Food for the stomach and the stomach for food, and God will destroy them both.” The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” But whoever is united with the Lord is one with Him in spirit.

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.

I know that’s a lot of Bible reading, but God doesn’t want us to continue in our evil ways… He wants us to be like His Son, and we do that by acceptance, repentance and perseverance!! His word tells what God loves and doesn’t love. Anything that honors HIM, and doesn’t hurt you, HE LOVES. If you are dishonoring Him by doing hurtful things to others or yourself, He doesn’t love!!

If you are practicing homosexuality, it is a sin, and it must be stopped, if you are killing people, having sex with babies, having sex before marriage, lying, cheating, or stealing… the behavior NEEDS TO STOP.. Bring it to God, and He will bring it down!

God loves murderers, people who deal in child pornography, sexual deviants, and yes… EVEN HOMOSEXUALS…

But He doesn’t want you to stay that way. We as the “Church” have a skewed sense of “LOVE” and immediately condemn those homosexual individuals, but have turned their cheek, ignored the rapists, the murders and the baby killers!! It’s all sin, and it ALL must be eradicated!!!

If we were BUSY BEING THE CHURCH.. more unbelievers would be lining up to follow Jesus! If we were being the church, there would be people who are dying in sin coming with FULL HEARTS to GOD!
If we were being the church… we wouldn’t be judging ANYONE before coming to the cross! Jesus died for ALL… and HE can cleanse ALL from ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS!

Stop picking on homosexuals. We don’t see anything wrong with murderers, liars, thieves, or pedophiles… we say “they’re just sick” But let it be a homosexual, they are ready to lynch them and burn them at the stake!!
Love them, show them there’s a better way. Let Jesus transform THEIR LIVES by the way YOU ACT!!

Jesus came so that we may have life and life more abundantly…. shunning people for the way they are and act is totally contrary to Jesus’ ministry, which was to love others as we love ourselves…or HIM!!

Too many times Christians are known for what they are against, not what they are FOR. Well, let’s be FOR Jesus, LET’S BE the Christ Followers that HE emulated. We can still teach what the Bible teaches with conviction. Let us Love them, pray for them, and let GOD take control.
Same token: Pray for God’s hand in YOUR deliverance from evil! Don’t judge, just take care of what you need to take care of… leave all else to God..
